Tokyo 2020 has released the calendar of it test events taking place from the end of 2018 through to November 2019, including a seven-day archery competition.

The archery test event for the next Olympic and Paralympic Games will take place on 11-18 July 2019 at the actual competition venue of Dream Island Archery Field and follow a similar format to the Olympics.

For the first time, it will include a recurve mixed team event ahead of its debut on the Olympic Programme, alongside competitions for both recurve men and recurve women.

It will not include a full team event, unlike the Games.

Tokyo 2020 test event schedule

  • 11 July: Practice
  • 12 July: Ranking round
  • 13 July: Mixed team eliminations and finals
  • 14-16 July: Individual eliminations
  • 17 July: Women’s eliminations and finals
  • 18 July: Men’s eliminations and finals

The archery competitions at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games will begin on 24 July.
