Florida State head coach Willie Taggart spoke with the Jim Rome show on Wednesday about the state of the Seminoles’ football program.
Rome asked Taggart if he thought FSU had to rebuild after last year’s 7-6 season.
“I don’t consider it a rebuild,” Taggart said.
“I consider it a realignment. We have a lot of good football players on this team that have won a lot of ball games and know how to win. We’ve just got to change our attitudes and get back to doing the things that it took to win. I think one of the biggest things is getting back to playing for one another and caring for one another and holding each other accountable whether it’s on the football field or off the football field.
“If we can do a good job of that, talent-wise we have some talent here to get things done. We all know that if you don’t prepare the way you want to and be strong as a football team the talent is not going to even matter. We’ve just got to get together as coaches and players and try to live up to the standards of Florida State football. I think it could happen quick.”
