The „summer transfer market“ in Italy is still heating on. There still hasn’t been a lot of confirmed transfers in top Italian clubs, but there are a lot of interesting rumors.

For now, the highlight in this summer Italian transfers has been a change on Pro Recco‘s bench, where Ratko Rudic replaced Vladimir Vujasinovic.

Pro Recco presented its new coach yesterday. The club’s president Maurizio Felugo, captain Stefano Tempesti and legendary Eraldo Pizzo welcomed Ratko Rudic.

I had finished my coaching career, but I accepted an offer that came from Recco, because it is a special club, the most titled in the world, with eight titles of European champion. Being here gives me a new energy and a big motivation. If I had received an offer from any other club or a national team I wouldn’t accept it-Rudic said.

I am still a coach who has to prepare a team to win trophies- he added.

Bijac came to Recco, Olympiacos keeps Mourikis

Pro Recco’s first addition was, as expected, Croatian goalkeeper Marko Bijac, the best European player of 2017, by LEN Magazine. He came to Genova from Jug Dubrovnik.

The champion of Italy had an unofficial agreement with Olympiacos’s center-forward Konstantinos Mourikis. However, a scenario has been changed in the past few days. Olympiacos, the champion of Europe, is building a strong squad for the next season. The management of the Greek club is doing everything to keep Mourikis in Olympiacos, so Pro Recco will have to find another solution for a center-forward position.

An experienced 41-years-old goalkeeper Goran Volarevic ended his career. Recco‘s tandem of goalies in the next season will be Tempesti and Bijac

What’s new in Brescia, Savona, Sport Management?

Pro Recco and Brescia were eyeing young Alessandro Velotto (Canottieri), who has been in a center of transfer market rumors in the past few seasons. According to the latest news Velotto will play for Brescia in the next season. Alessandro Bovo, Brescia head coach, strongly wants to see Velotto in his team. Velotto will be a good refreshment for the team of Brescia, which has a lot of players older than 30 years. A good news for Brescia’s fans is that Nikola Vukcevic and Zeno Bertoli will remain in the club.

Sport Management brought two reinforcements so far: Vincenco Dolce (Canottieri Naples) and Giacomo Casasola, who was Ortigia’s center-forward. Savona’s Luca Damonte, the top scorer of the regular season in the Serie A (33 goals) is likely to join Dolce and Casasola.

Pietro Figlioli, a captain of the Italian national team, still has a year of the contract with Sport Management, but he might return to Pro Recco or join Brescia…

Roberto Ravina moved from Savona to Bogliasco. Hungarian Andras Teleki also left Savona. He returned to Hungary and will play for Szolnok.

Catania new players are Dimitrije Risticevic, Filip Jankovic (both Partizan), Nicola Cuccovillo (Posillipo).
